About this product
The Mother and Baby Anti-Allergy Pocket Cot Mattress helps reduce the common allergens that disturb young sleep, so you can create a cleaner rest environment in the nursery. It uses Purotex, a natural probiotic treatment that's been tested against house dust mites, cat hair and dog hair. There are individual springs inside that adjust as your baby shifts position, giving balanced support across the surface. The cover includes Tencel fibres that draw moisture away and allow air to circulate. It's built for cots, fitting the standard 120 by 60cm size without gaps at the edges.
The outer cover unzips and goes in the washing machine when you need to freshen it up. There's a waterproof layer underneath that you can reposition, protecting the springs from spills or leaks. The spring system works independently across the mattress, so movement in one area doesn't affect another. It's hypoallergenic throughout, designed to reduce irritants. Mother and Baby back it with a 2 year guarantee for reassurance.

The cover will show which side of the Mother&Baby 120 x 60cm Anti-Allergy Pocket Cot Mattress is suited for babies and toddlers. We recommend keeping a note of which side the mattress is siding when removing the cover for cleaning to avoid confusion upon reapplying it.
The baby side is a firm nursey grade foam to ensure a safe baby sleep surface and the toddler side has a softer foam feeling.

After checking with our supplier they have advised: I can confirm that the Mother&Baby Pure Gold Anti-Allergy Coir Pocket Sprung Cot Mattress 120 x 60cm is made from foam with a pocket sprung core.
This is covered with our Polyester/Tencel blend cover which is treated with Purotex Probiotics to actively consume the proteins known to cause common allergies. The bottom section of the cover is water-resistant polypropylene – perfect for toilet training.
Foam is made from a chemical process, so we cannot say this mattress is free from chemicals.
For a chemical-free mattress, I would recommend our Mother&Baby Organic Gold Cot Mattress. Which is foam-free and chemical-free. The cover is made from Organic cotton, and the core includes natural wool, natural coconut coir, natural latex and supportive pocket springs.

Having checked with the supplier for you I can let you know they say
"the Mother&Baby 120 x 60cm Anti-Allergy Pocket Cot Mattress 948/2715 is a Baby and Toddler Mattress.
I can advise that one side is for the use of a Baby and should be flipped over once their little one reaches the Toddler Stage.
There is a small tag on the side of the mattress which shows which side is toddler and baby"
