After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Baby Elegance 140 x 70cm Eco Fibre Cot Bed Mattress: The zipper being like that is actually intentional so baby can’t remove the cover. It has to be opened by adding something like a safety pin into the hole and you can open it that way. I have attached a manual for you to explain. Its recently considered a safety hazard to have a zipper attached to a baby mattress so most mattresses these days don’t have one.
