Highly recommend as a security feature
Following a second robbery in 2 months, I already have a ring doorbell, but on the second theft they attempted to rip it off the wall (I still got images of them), so I got this to be on the wall, high up, out of reach and with a louder speaker, so that if they show up again (its the local crackhead), they will, undoubtedly get a few choice words. I've got this at other properties, its very handy, you can review footage quickly, good images, picks up sound and images clearly - night and day. I got the handyman to wire it in. I'd highly recommend as a back up, or for the rear of properties. It's discreet and also is a floodlight too, plus you can turn the light on remotely, speak through the camera remotely and also just watch and be recording, without saying a word. It can alert you (motion detection), so that you know if someone is approaching, regardless. This is invaluable. The ring doorbell is good too, but there's no spotlight on it... and because its at arms level, this on the wall just gives an extra added layer of security.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Ring Floodlight Wired Plus Cam Security Camera CCTV - Black: It's an 80 degree vertical field of view, so if it's too high, they can't see close to the building – I can assume a recommendation is therefore 2.4-3.6m high installation.

“ We can’t make recommendations on what mounts customers should use as we don’t know their home set up I can confirm that the floodlight wired plus camera comes with a wall plate that you can fix onto the wall but I can’t give advice on how the customer would hardwire if there isn’t already a power source. ”
