This is perfect as an adaptation for me. I struggle with grip and needed something a bit bigger than a regular Joycon, and this is perfect. It's just as responsive as my original joycons and is great for handheld gameplay. This cannot be used when the Switch is docked, and doesn't register if you need to tilt the Switch during a game. For example, there is a mini game in the game im currently playing that requires you to tilt the switch to maneuver a marble into a hole and i have to swap to joycons for that, but I don't kjnd doing that for the handful of times it'd be required. This also feels much sturdier than joycons too!

The supplier has advised the following for the HORI Nintendo Switch Split Pad Pro Controller - Black:
"The Split Pad Pro is designed primarily for handheld mode and must be attached directly to the Nintendo Switch console to function. In its standard configuration, it does not operate wirelessly and cannot be used when the console is connected to a TV in docked mode.
There is an accessory called the Split Pad Pro Attachment Set, which allows the controllers to be used while the Nintendo Switch is connected to a TV. However, this attachment is currently not available in Europe.
As a result, with the products currently available in Europe, the Split Pad Pro can only be used in handheld mode and cannot be used for two-player gameplay on a TV screen."

I can advise that this pro controller is designed for the Nintendo Switch, as the Nintendo Switch 2 is larger, this will not be compatible.

Having checked the instructions and with the information available, the controller attaches to the Switch by sliding along the rails at the side, from top to bottom. The instructions do not provide a wired option.

These have no built in battery and only work when connected to the switch directly as the switch powers them.
