Having checked the instructions and with the information available, the controller attaches to the Switch by sliding along the rails at the side, from top to bottom. The instructions do not provide a wired option.

These have no built in battery and only work when connected to the switch directly as the switch powers them.

Not compatible with a Switch Lite.

Yes, you are able to use the HORI Nintendo Switch Split Pad Pro Controller with the OLED version however when docking the OLED version you will need to remove the controller.
