Bargain price but not bargain features
£36 for this toaster is a bargain. It's a great toaster at a superb price. Quick and even toasting and easy to clean. The long slots mean you can actually toast proper slices of real bread too. There's toasters out there for four times the price. Save your pounds and just get this one.

Nice wide slots. Try stuffing a croissant in a normal short toaster.

Long slot toaster
It's hard to find a long slot toaster that isn't white nowadays so I was glad to see Argos had one. Great toaster, works well, would recommend.

Great toaster
I've had this 2 weeks now and the results are great. Very constant every time and importantly fits my long sourdough perfectly

Takes any size bread
I bought this to replace a 2 slice toaster. I love the long slots which let me toast any size bread. It has lost 1 star as it seems to dry the bread when toasting and does not have a rack for bagels.

Toaster Size great, functionality not so good!
I waited for a month before I properly reviewed this Cookworks Toaster Argos service: no problems at all and I also bought the extra warranty just in case. Pro: 1. Its the size I wanted, to toast 4 regular slices of bread at the same time or 2 x pitta breads. 2. Build quality average, but I am not fussed about how it feels, as long as it does the job. Cons: 1. As stated in previous reviews, its not deep enough for 4 regular sized sliced bread standing up right. You will have to turn it over halfway if you like your whole toast done properly. 2. The springs in my pen is stronger than the springs on this toaster. I've tried a number of different breads and pittas and 'none' of them will spring up all the way. You will have to use the same 'push down' lever to lift up your toast. 3. The toaster seems to need more time to heat up. The first batch of toast will have zero brown colour, however the second lot will be ok. You'll just have to put the first lot round a second time if you're fussy about your toast. My conclusion is that I don't regret buying this toaster. I just have to adjust to its (listed above) weak points and it will work out fine. (I'm not paying £100 for a fancy 2 slice toaster thats for sure). Good luck!!

Superb toaster, great price
I brought this a few weeks ago and it has hit the spot - good toasting, consistent colour and decent length on the slots.
