its definitely an upgrade! It’s smaller, matte, and actually blends into my trim. The alerts are instant, and the "Quick Exit" button is a life-saver without disarming the whole house. Installation took two minutes with the adhesive, and it’s been 100% reliable. Would highly recommend this product.

You do need a Ring Doorbell itself for Ring Alarm Contact Sensor, even if you have Alexa, because Alexa can interface with it but cannot function as a doorbell on its own.

No it won't alert has the sensor needs to be moved / displaced to alert of entry.

No this is just for doors or windows being opened. There is different sensor called alarm glass smash sensor for smashed windows.
