Works, but tricky to use
This works well, though is incredibly slow charging. I hadn't realised it came only with a mini usb/usb charger so needs an additional plug to work. I'd pay extra for the quicker one. Glad I didn't want it for heavy use

No Clear Charging Status — A Frustrating and Poorl
Very disappointed. There’s no way to tell when the batteries are fully charged — just solid green lights that only indicate they’re charging. Essentially, the message is “come back in four hours and hope they’re ready.” Very poor design and well below acceptable standards.

Perfect Charger
Great little charger complete with AA batteries perfect for use in my battery operated lights. Also charges AAA batteries as well.

Hello Mumblesboy,
I can advise the following for the Energizer Recharge Base Charger with 4 AA batteries:
This does charge NiMH batteries.
Thanks for using Q & A.
Hi Joe,
Energizer Recharge Base Charger with 4 AA batteries 945/3885
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Energizer Recharge Base Charger with 4 AA batteries: The specification regarding charging is below:
LED indication:
LED on: Charging.
LED off: Charging completed.
Blinking: Alkaline battery detected.
The blinking means that an alkaline battery has been inserted by mistake and the charger has detected it and is not charging it.
The alkaline detection mechanism is a voltage measurement so there is the possibility of a bad reading and NiMH was mistaken for alkaline.
We would need to see the batteries the customer is attempting to charge to confirm.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hello Shaun,
I can advise that the Energizer Recharge Base Charger with 4 AA batteries comes as a single piece with an attached UK plug. This does not come with a USB cable, so could not be plugged into a USB port to charge.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q & A.

Hello Rab,
The supplier has advised the following for the Energizer Recharge Base Charger with 4 AA batteries:
The charger would be able to charge 2000mAh batteries, the estimated charging time for them would be 11hrs for a full charge from flat.
The charger can charge cells with different mAh. For example 2300 mAh can be charged, however, the charge time would increase to 13hrs for a full charge.
Thank you for using Q&A.
