Yes, you do need to screw the cups into the wall or doorframe. The gate slots into and is held by those.

I can advise that this gate fits a opening from 61 to 68cm, if you add a 10cm extension, that will changes the gap opening to 71-78cm. This will still not achieve the 70cm you need.

ā Because this slim gate with bottom frame which is the risk on tipping over, we suggest customer choose wall fix gate without bottom frame ā 6983183 fitting the width from 60cm to 97cm. ā
