Got it for my ring alarm system and was really easy to install ,tried the siren and was loud on low setting.

Easy quality piece of kit
I would recommend to all, good quality very easy to set up. Only one little gripe. Because i used the plug in power adapter, I had a slight issue with balacing the unit fixing the three little screws back in and the rubber seal, trying to sort these 30' up a ladder was a bit of an headache. But once sorted. No other issues. Great piece of kit. Will defernatly be buying again for front of house.

You can sound this siren manually from the Ring app on your phone. You do not need to have a Ring alarm system set up to use it.

Yes you can sound the siren manually by selecting sound the siren on the siren settings in the ring app. You can also set ring cameras to sound their built in sirens, as well as the siren when motion is detected in linked devices on the alarm base station settings. I believe the ring siren can only work with the ring alarm system mk1 or mk2 and not be setup to work independently as a standalone siren. This is a great siren and the ring alarm system is also great I highly recommend.

Testing needs to be done at the site of the Siren/ Base Station
The Outdoor Siren can be mounted up to 76m from the Ring Alarm Base Station.

After contacting our suppliers that have advised that if you subscribe to plus plan, the cellular back up will keep the system connected should your WiFi disconnect.
You can turn on the siren from the keypad. The "panic Button" sounds the siren and sends push notifications to emergency contacts when pressed. If you have Assisted Monitoring, a signal will be sent to the monitoring service, which will call your emergency contacts at the same time.

The D batteries included power the siren sound and red LED flashing lights only so should last a good few years unless its constantly being activated of course

Ring advise "the Outdoor Siren cannot have Professional Monitoring to call authorities. It can only have Assisted Monitoring to contact emergency contacts. The Assisted Monitoring is a feature provided by the Plus plan. It allows you to have three emergency contacts in case of an incident."

Ring have advised "Ring solar power devices are a supplement to your Quick-Release Battery, not a substitute. While your solar power device will extend your battery’s life and the time between needed recharges, it does not eliminate the need to recharge your battery. The purpose of the Solar Panel is not to keep the battery fully charged nor to charge the battery. It is to trickle charge. The trickle charging will start after dropping below 90%. It extends the battery by 8%. In other words, it saves 8% of the battery charge. For example, if the battery is 81%, the Solar Panel will trickle charge it to 82% and then will drop again to 81%. This is for the Quick-Release Battery Pack. The D Batteries are not compatible with the Ring Solar Panel. Outdoor Siren comes with 3 x D batteries. These need to be installed into the device, even if additional power options are used. With typical use these batteries should last 3 years."
