Nice camera, poor setup
Overall the camera is good enough and works well. Setting up the camera should be simple, however practically, getting it to connect to WiFi is harder than it should be! All the other Yale WiFi cameras are exactly the same, but once done, works well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works as stated. App control instructions could be more comprehensive. I am old and a bit slow on smartphone use. Appart from that, a great camera.

Hard to set up, not much help or support.
I bought this a few weeks ago tried to set it up had a lot of trouble spoke to Yale who advised me to speak to my service provider & get WiFi set to 5G they took another 2 hours however I still can’t use it as that didn’t work - waste of money I then bought a small blink canera which set up straight away No trouble.

Not working on WiFi
Will not connect to WiFi unless you use cat5 cable. I purchased this on the understanding this can be used on WiFi away from the router

Excellent human vision
Just purchased and now peace of mind. Human detection is visible. as well as, images on mobile. But I need Yale Micro SD card 128 GB for this camera and ethernet also. I will pay for these items.

Nice indoor camera
The initial setup was a bit difficult and I had to use an Ethernet cable to connect to the router to make it recognise my own Wifi, but after that everything works as expected. The night vision is good. It's nice that the Yale View app is compatible with Android 5.0 as a lot of other apps discriminate against people with older phones by making themselves incompatible.

Excellent product
Wanted to replace a camera I broke so invested in another Yale pan and tilt. I have three. It connected with ease and is in use. I used the Yale App I had already to connect. It and the others work well.

Have to use a different app from the yale smart alarm app. So have to turn it on separately when arming the alarm.

Basically, it will work in the daytime, but NOT at night - you will just get a bright glow as the infrared light bounces of the glass back into the camera

The Yale Indoor Smart WiFi Pan/Tilt Security Camera is designed for indoor use only, whilst it can be positioned to view through a window, there is no guarantee it will pick up motion detection as glass windows reflecting the IR lighting and blurring the image at night.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Yale Indoor Smart WiFi Pan/Tilt Security Camera: There is a cable for power which needs to be plugged in all the time.

It is all done over WiFi, but it can be a bit tricky, and the directions from Yale do not help.
Your phone WiFi needs to connect to the camera, and then use your 4G Data to connect the phone to the internet. This is the only way I was able to complete setup. Once you do it this way, the Yale View App will then prompt you to enter your home Wifi password which the WiFi cam will use to get onto the cloud. There is no instruction regarding this, and I had to figure it out myself

"The footage is recorded onto an SD card – from your app you can live view and play back."

Our supplier has advised that the Yale Indoor Smart WiFi Pan/Tilt Security Camera footage on the SD card can only be accessed through the app if the card is in the camera. However the card can be taken out of the camera and viewed on a separate device using an SD card reader.
