I needed a strong, wide gate to prevent my mother, who is living with Dementia, from going upstairs on her own. This gate has done the job. The gate must be lifted in order to open it, which has completely flummoxed Mum so far. We can add a padlocked chain should she ever work it out. This gate has definitely brought peace of mind.

Yes, the BabyDan Wide Pressure Fit Safety gate fits openings from 73.5-106.3cm so fix it to the lower width first and the upper fixing points can be screwed out to fit.

Where there is a gap of 5cms above the skirtings you may need to fit a wooden batten to be able to install the gate.
