Ignore the official answer, it is wrong. What you have to do is hold the bottom button down for ages, ignore the 12hr flashing thing. Keep trying it over and over again until it finally changes to a number and either A or P. Press either button to increase the number. You cannot decrease, just go round the entire cycle. Long press the bottom button again to get to the minutes, then again for the year. Again for month and day. When you have finished just wait. It is a very bad design.

- Press the Top key for three seconds to enter the time adjustment state.
- At the same time, the hour flashes, then press the top key to set the hour.
- The hold the top key for three seconds to set the minutes.
- Use the same method to set the hour, minute, second, month and date.
- Once complete, hold the top key for three seconds to save and exit.

Yes, you can. You have to brute force your way into the Set Time mode by long pressing the bottom button for 10 seconds over and over, and the date is set after the time.
