This vacuum fails on so many levels. Firstly, the strength of suction is too great for the poorly designed head, meaning it gets stuck to the floor easily and becomes difficult to push (scratching my flooring - thanks Vax). Speaking of the poorly designed head, it does a great job at pushing bits around the floor rather than sucking it up when you do manage to get it moving. Also, it has a habit of dumping its contents all over the place when you try to remove the container to empty, due to the ridiculously placed clip that jams regularly. It's cheap for a reason. Avoid.

Long cord which is good. Suction not too great. It is light. Cheap version of a Dyson and not half as good.

Bought this vacuum a few months ago, so far I am very happy with it,I only use it on the carpets and it suctions very well, I plug in one room and the cord is long enough to do all the rooms without having to move the plug, I am very happy with the performance of this machine and the price was reasonable

Bought a few weeks ago, really pleased with my new hoover, powerful suction and a big dust container so won't have to keep emptying it, much better than my previous top of the range hoover which cost three times as much, bargain price and would recommend

Wouldn't recommend for stairs
Hoover is ok when being used in upright position However it is a bit faffy when you want to change to using handheld tools. The 3 in 1 crevice tool supplied is useless for stairs.

Good quality well made vacuum cleaner.
It is very lightweight to push around when it’s not turned on but too heavy to carry upstairs if you ‘ve got stairs. Very good strong suction . I got this as my stick vacuum cleaner’s battery isn’t lasting now and this Vax Air Stretch vac cost me the same as I would have paid for a battery for the stick vacuum. It can be hard to push on certain carpets so I just turn around and vac in the other direction OR slide the thingy down there with your foot from deep pile carpet to low pile carpet and it still does a really good job. It’s not too big and doesn’t take up too much space. It’s not too loud for me , loud vacs set my nerves on edge but I’m friends with this one. Yep pleased I chose this one.

The waste bin would need to be removed from the hoover body and then the button to open the bottom will allow the waste to be put in a bag or dustbin.
