This Double hotplate hob's compact design gives you more cooking options with its 2 cast iron heating plates, suitable for all kinds of cookware and the durable powder coated steel exterior makes it easy to clean. 2500W power is split between the large hotplate (1500W) and the small hotplate (1000W) with independent variable heat settings for ultimate cooking control. The lightweight compact design comes with foldable handles so it is easy to move around and store away.

Cookwork double hot plates
I bought this 2 weeks ago. It perfomed well so far but I am afraid to use it longer than 1 hour.

Works well
I brought this as we ripped out our old kitchen and knocked downs walls. I am very pleased with this hob it does the job as a temporary replacement, I use hot water to start with and it boils very quickly.

Brilliant Hot Plate
My electric cooker had broken down…..my son bought this Double Hot Plate….it is fantastic !!….I have used it for a few months and was able to cook some lovely food on it….it heats up quickly, very easy to control….I have just had a new cooker installed, but am still using my Double Hot Plate….it is brilliant..easy to use and also easy to clean.

Breaks easy
These hot plates works well for around a month and then the big plate stops heating up altogether. I have bought them at least three times now and this happens every time. Eventually the small plate also stops working but it takes longer. It's kind of slow in heating up but will get the job done if you're patient. The design is basic but the numbers on the dials don't come off at least when it gets cleaned, like other brands. The plates soon become rusty looking with use and the paint next to them on the main body peels off, making them look quite rough. Recommended for very occasional use only.

The same has happened to me. I replaced the plug fuse but that didnt work contacted Argos was told that since its not a technical problem I have to go and have it repaired with a third party electrician at my expense.
