I bought this to replace my old one which had been dropped and cracked the bottom part as the previous one works great, spins well and reduces the water by quite a lot. Would recommend it to anyone.

No, this does not have holes in the bottom. They are in the clip on lid. You can put lettuce and water in the bowl, attach the lid, spin slowly to wash, then tip the water out and spin again to dry.
