When you want proper warmth without fussing with dials and buttons, the Dimplex ML2CE 2kW Convector Heater brings 2000 watts of convection heat into your living room, bedroom or home office with a large LED touch screen that makes every adjustment effortless. The intelligent Eco mode is the clever part, it self-adjusts to reach your chosen temperature and then maintains it, whilst the 12-hour timer lets you set it to switch on before you wake up or turn off once you've headed out for the day.
With three heat settings and a built-in thermostat, you can fine-tune exactly the level of comfort you need, whether it's a quick blast on a frosty morning or gentle background warmth throughout the day. The freestanding design is light enough to move from room to room with ease, and the 1.5m cord gives you flexibility with placement. Safety features include an overheat cut-out and a tilt switch that powers everything down if it gets knocked over, plus frost protection to guard against unexpected cold snaps when you're away, and it comes ready to plug in straight out of the box.

Very nice room heater, let down by poor display.
Bought this to replace a similar product from the same company that had developed faults after a good few years of use. Needed replacing. This product was similar and was on offer. Hopefully we will get as long out of it as the previous model. My only complaint is that the digital screen is extremely difficult to view and does NOT clearly display the operational features of the product clearly enough. I had to get down on my knees to even see the red button indicating that it is ready for use and when pressed the green button was just about visible as were all the other feature indicators. Poor quality display which somewhat detracts from the overall satisfaction of using some of the products features. Will just stick to what I have it set at because of this difficulty of function use.

Don’t waste your money on this heater .
I got this heater for my mum who is 91 and has Alzheimer’s. Everything was good but the only thing was it being a touch screen. She hasn’t a clue what to do . So putting this heater on every morning never happens until one of us went round there. So we had to get her another heater. Also the touch screen is right down the bottom of the heater which is hard to see and get too. So very disappointed bad design.

“ As this is a heating product, we can never rule out the possibility of expansion and contraction noise. This is a natural phenomenon that occurs in all metallic objects when subjected to heating and cooling cycle and can cause them to creak, tick or ping on occasion. ”

The heater is fitted with a Runback Timer feature. The
Runback Timer will allow the appliance to run, from now,
for a pre-set time. After this time has expired the appliance
will enter Standby mode and the Runback timer will clear to
zero. The Runback Timer range is 1 to 12 hours.

The supplier has advised the following for the Dimplex ML2CE 2kW Touch Screen Convector Heater:
No it cannot be used for 24 hours and they are for used as back up heating only. This heater has a thermostatic range of 5 to 30 degrees and has a 12 hour timer, or you can turn it on/off manually instead.
The supplier does not recommend leaving any portable heater unoccupied when in use so, even with the timer, it should still not be left unattended when in use.

All portable heaters are designed for occasional use or as top up heaters not sole main heat source. We would not recommend this heater to be left on for a 24 hour period.

Thank you for your enquiry , when power is cut to the heater it goes into standby it will will have to be turned back on manually and the runback timer will then start again.

The manual for the Dimplex ML2CE 2kW Touch Screen Convector Heater advises "do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided."
