The Dimplex ML2CE 2kW Convector with Intellegent Eco mode and operated using an impressive large easy to use LED screen with touch sensitive controls. The 12 hour runback or delayed start timer can be set to control when the heater switches on or off to suit your busy routine, whilst a choice of 3 heat settings. Intelligent Eco mode optimises energy use by self adjusting to meet and maintain your selected temperature.
The ML2CE has safety overheat and a tilt switch that cuts the power if accidently knocked over.

Doesn't produce any heat below 25c
Very disappointed with this heater. You can't set the heater to produce any heat below 25c. No heat comes out. 25c is too high a setting just to warm up a room, and below this you can't turn it down and it doesn't produce any heat at all - just flashes. Stupid. So I took it back to Argos for a refund. Don't normally have this problem with most convector heaters, as they usually produce heat regardless of setting.

“ As this is a heating product, we can never rule out the possibility of expansion and contraction noise. This is a natural phenomenon that occurs in all metallic objects when subjected to heating and cooling cycle and can cause them to creak, tick or ping on occasion. ”

The heater is fitted with a Runback Timer feature. The
Runback Timer will allow the appliance to run, from now,
for a pre-set time. After this time has expired the appliance
will enter Standby mode and the Runback timer will clear to
zero. The Runback Timer range is 1 to 12 hours.

The supplier has advised the following for the Dimplex ML2CE 2kW Touch Screen Convector Heater:
No it cannot be used for 24 hours and they are for used as back up heating only. This heater has a thermostatic range of 5 to 30 degrees and has a 12 hour timer, or you can turn it on/off manually instead.
The supplier does not recommend leaving any portable heater unoccupied when in use so, even with the timer, it should still not be left unattended when in use.

All portable heaters are designed for occasional use or as top up heaters not sole main heat source. We would not recommend this heater to be left on for a 24 hour period.

Thank you for your enquiry , when power is cut to the heater it goes into standby it will will have to be turned back on manually and the runback timer will then start again.

The manual for the Dimplex ML2CE 2kW Touch Screen Convector Heater advises "do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided."
