I bought this for my garden to place near my back door. It is nice and bright but the light does not stay on for long once you get to the door so you have to keep moving for it to stay on.

Very bright but only stays on for a short time
This is a very trendy looking light. It’s really bright but the negative thing is it only stays on for a couple of seconds maximum which is hugely frustrating as it doesn’t stay on long enough. When it comes on it’s incredibly bright but then it goes pitch black extremely quickly. This is a huge problem as I need it to stay on for at least ten seconds at least and then I would happily give this light five stars because it’s very trendy and I really do like the look of the solar light. If anyone needs a solar light that stays on for a very short time it would be perfect.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised: Normally if the light flashes, it means it needs to be charged. However, this is solar light so it should be charged by solar light. Please put under sunlight for charging for around 10 hours and see if it still flashes.

I have checked on this and I can confirm direct sunlight is not a necessity for solar powered lights however they wont charge as easily and may not have the best output if left in shaded areas.
