I always wash the rice about three times , that gets the starch out, for how much rice you put into the pan or the bowei i should say cover that with water dont fill the water to the top then put a table spoon of oil in you can add a little butter, i do i also put a little bit of tumeric in to make the rice go yellow and bing, a middle eastern woman shown me how to cook the rice in a rice cooker
