Build quality could be better but does clean well
When I unpackaged it there was a metal part floating about in the bottom of the box. It was the “spring” for the collection tank release tab figured out where it should have been pretty quick and pressed it into position so poor quality control of assembly in the factory. The machine itself was perfect fo cleaning my large caravans carpeting which was really grubby after a muddy pitch last time out. Came up smelling and looking brand new. Very easy to use. On the point of quality the way the main handle attaches with a push fit is poor and not very stable and I can see that being the part tht fails before anything else. So if you want a small efficient Vac cleaner for rugs/small carpeted areas this is ideal. If you need one for a fully carpeted house I’d get one of the larger models with all its additional attachments.

Lighter version with same great functions
Bought this as I needed a lighter version bit same functions and cleaning ability as other models. But also a machine that was easy to use. It is perfect. Does exactly what you need and not as bulky and heavy as other models.

Really exceeded my expectations
My carpets were in real need of a clean, after a couple of years of dogs, cats and children living in the house they were quite grubby! I was fully preparing myself to need a professional cleaner come to do them all, but I thought I'd try this first as it seemed fairly cheap. I wasn't expecting the results that I got, my carpets look almost new! I had to change the water quite a few times the first time but on the second wash I reduced the amount of water needed quite drastically. The vacuum is lighter than I thought it was going to be and really easy to use, I now shampoo my carpets every couple of weeks because it is so quick and easy. It really exceeded my expectations, so a 5 star review was given.

Vax Compact Power Upright Carpet Cleaner:
You mix Approx. 40 ml of Vax solution per 1 litre of warm water (max 40°C). This has 1.8 litre clean water tank capacity. Based on this you would use approx. 70–75 ml of Vax solution, then fill the rest of the tank with warm water.
How much you use for a bedroom would depend on the size of your room. However, most bedrooms will need one full clean‑water tank, sometimes two if the carpet is heavily soiled or the room is large.
