About this product
The Vax Compact Power Upright Carpet Cleaner is built for high traffic areas and smaller spaces where spills and pet messes happen. Weighing under 6kg, it's the lightest carpet washer in the Vax range, which means you can carry it up and down stairs with ease. The rotating AQUASPIN brush bar tackles tough stains and ground-in dirt, leaving carpets looking clean and fresh. The narrow floorhead gets into tight corners and along edges, and the compact design makes it easy to tuck away when you're done.
The clean water tank and dirty water tank give you enough capacity to do a few rooms before refilling, and there's a safety cut-out indicator that tells you when the dirty tank is full. It's a corded model with plenty of reach, so you're not constantly switching sockets. The carry handle makes it easy to move between rooms, and it sucks up spills as well as cleaning carpets. Suitable for carpets, and comes with cleaning solution included.

Great machine
It was so easy to put together; simple to use; good value for money and I'm really happy with the results. Only negative is when I finished with the machine I left it to stand and when I went back to it there was a dirty puddle of water where the brushes had dripped.

Light and compact
This got so much dirt out of my rug and left it looking like new again. Its very handy and lightweight for me as I have arthritis in my hands and shoulders. I didn't notice that it doesn't have a upholstery brush but that is my fault. A good little machine.

Exceptional! And truly portable.
I've now used this multiple times on my carpets and it works great! I wish I'd gotten it sooner, given the state of my carpets according to the colour of the water that came out of them. What I love about this is that it is truly portable, which was of great importance to me. Such a handy tool!

Hi Bov,
Thanks for your query about the Vax Compact Power Upright Carpet Cleaner.
No, it does not heat the water. The clean water tank should be filled with warm water (max 40°C) only.
Filling the clean water tank with hot or boiling water will damage the machine and invalidate the guarantee.
Thanks for using Q&A.

The supplier has advised the following for the Vax Compact Power Upright Carpet Cleaner:
No, it does not have a separate dry setting - it works by releasing water when it is pushed forward, and sucks up the water as the machine is pulled back.
