The Vax Compact Power Upright Carpet Cleaner is built for high traffic areas and smaller spaces where spills and pet messes happen. Weighing under 6kg, it's the lightest carpet washer in the Vax range, which means you can carry it up and down stairs with ease. The rotating AQUASPIN brush bar tackles tough stains and ground-in dirt, leaving carpets looking clean and fresh. The narrow floorhead gets into tight corners and along edges, and the compact design makes it easy to tuck away when you're done.
The clean water tank and dirty water tank give you enough capacity to do a few rooms before refilling, and there's a safety cut-out indicator that tells you when the dirty tank is full. It's a corded model with plenty of reach, so you're not constantly switching sockets. The carry handle makes it easy to move between rooms, and it sucks up spills as well as cleaning carpets. Suitable for carpets, and comes with cleaning solution included.

Compact carpet cleaner.
We don't have a big area of carpets to clean hence we bought the compact washer. You will have to take your time when cleaning the carpets as the water container for the clean water is quite small which is expected in a 'compact' machine. The performance is very good. Read the instructions twice before you start and there should no problems. Good value for money when hiring a machine can cost almost the same.

I brought on the Monday, was delivered on Tuesday which was great. The machine was easy to put together, I didn’t realise you were able to remove the front water peice and the brush bar for cleaning..that is really good. My previous vax machine was ok but it got stuck up with dog hair and you couldn’t get it apart to clean. Ver annoying. This one is very good, I’ve already cleaned my lounge carpet. It pumps quite a lot of water out compared to my other but it definitely cleans better. The carpets were left damp but that’s to be expected. I found it very easy to set up and use, it’s not heavy and this one won’t get ruined by dog hair as we no longer have dogs…sadly My carpet looks refreshed and bright..a lot of dirty water in that tank. We walk straight in out lounge off the the road so it’s inevitable the carpet can get abit mucky despite best efforts. Very happy with my purchase

Great for carpets in a small place
This is a great simple carpet cleaner which is ideal for small houses and apartments. Even after vacuuming, this cleaner picked up so much extra dust, fluff, hairs and grit. The carpet is left only slightly damp. There's not much residual scent just the carpet backing hessian. The output tank is easy to remove but does need a squeeze to put back in. The water reservoir is simple to use and does not leak. The rollers and filter do need to be cleaned after each room. The free detergent liquid lasts one room only so you'll need to buy the extra liquid. It's easy to move around but isn't suitable for stairs or furniture as it does not come with any attachments. It's not too loud considering what it's doing.

Small vac carpet washer
I bought my vac a week ago, very pleased with its performance. Perfect for small properties. The brush performance is very good cleaning the carpets well. Removing all the little stains you get from every day living. This is easy to move around. Light weight, excellent for someone with disabilities. The tank is small but that's not a problem, it doesn't take long to refill. I found it easy to clean after use, to clean the brushes all that is needed is to unscrew the cover and you can easily get into the brushes.

No, it does not heat the water. The clean water tank should be filled with warm water (max 40°C) only.
Filling the clean water tank with hot or boiling water will damage the machine and invalidate the guarantee.

Vax Compact Power Upright Carpet Cleaner:
You mix Approx. 40 ml of Vax solution per 1 litre of warm water (max 40°C). This has 1.8 litre clean water tank capacity. Based on this you would use approx. 70–75 ml of Vax solution, then fill the rest of the tank with warm water.
How much you use for a bedroom would depend on the size of your room. However, most bedrooms will need one full clean‑water tank, sometimes two if the carpet is heavily soiled or the room is large.
