(More or less) functional but extremely basic. You are getting what you paid for: the cheapest sandwich toaster on the books. It pretty much copes with bog-basic thin bread (which you have to trim to fit) and a humble amount of cheese... but there's still a very good chance that's going to end up spilling out, leaving molten cheese goo on the most difficult-to-clean parts. 😂 It's pretty poor if I'm honest but it just about limped over the line and eventually offered up something in the neighbourhood of 'lunch' so I feel bad giving it a hard time but, if I was you? Pay a few quid more and buy a fancier one that can cope with, well, normal bread and luxuries like fillings. 😂😂😂

Yes this will seal the edges and the top. It will also seal the bottom and the sides, and of course will seal the back of the bread.
Not sure though if the sides on this are adjustable to fit the size of loaf.
