I bought this as a replacement for a similar blind that had become discloured.It was easy to fit on my existing hooks and I trimmed the the cords after adjusting them to the correct length.The only criticism is that it does let the light through but as it's at a frosted window it's acceptable

This item can be used into brick but the screws that are provided with this are not suitable for masonry. You would need to source suitable screws for your type of wall.

Yes they should be easy to operate. The blind is designed to roll evenly across its width, so it does not drop more on one side unless installed unevenly.

Having checked I can see the manufacturer has advised this is not suitable for trimming.

Well we trimmed our white bamboo blind and it fits perfectly. You have to make sure you trim between the sewn lines down the blind and evenly inside from each edge so the hooks evenly spaced when the blind is hung, but we trimmed a 180cm to 141cm to fit our kitchen window. Used a junior hack saw on the top and bottom struts then clippers to cut the bamboo. Was very straight forward and looks fabulous.
