Quality TV stand
I bought this when it was on offer at Argos as I didn't have space for a full sized TV unit, it came well packaged and was easy to put together. I will say though that if you collect in store as I did be careful because it is incredibly heavy. I would certainly buy the TV stand again.

Good TV stand for 55 inch screen TV
Great value stand at half price. However it is tricky to assemble the first stage where you need a longish screwdriver with a strong magnetic head to screw 4 recessed screws through a profile piece of steel. You can't get a finger in to assist either because of the position of the 4 holes. You need a steady hand!

Needed to modify to suit the rear of my tv
I had to hacksaw the bottom of the tv mounting brackets to fit it to the tv, spacers are supplied but not deep enough to suit the rear of my TV

Easy to assemble
Great product. Easy to assemble / needs 2 people really especially when you lift/fit tv onto it and move it into position. I would have given 5 star but one of the chrome plastic feet was broken in the box. Soon rectified by customer service. Leaflet with contact details inside the box. Sent first class so sorted promptly. Very sturdy and the tempered glass is quite heavy - I would definitely recommend - even better bought in sale at half price!

Good solid stand
Lots of nuts & bolts with this TV Stand. Instructions need to be followed carefully as guesswork could lead to instability of the stand. I put this together by myself (70 yr old female) but I would recommend seeking assistance as it can get a bit tricky at times, trying to hold & balance at the same time. Definitely seek another pair of hands when mounting the TV itself. Very please with both the look & stability of the stand. Only negative is that the silvery bits cheapen the overall appearance.

Not good value, and a bit tacky.
Complicated to put together (and I am not new to self assembly). Supposed to fit a range of TV sizes, but for a 43" TV I had to drill additional holes to bring the TV down to an acceptable height. Chromed plastic circles look tacky, so removed. Certainly not worth £100, but you live and learn!

Yes if you want the stand without the shelf that would work fine. The shelf isn't structurally integral to the stand. There are however 4 holes through the column that are used to attach the shelf supports and these would be visible if you don't attach the shelf. Regards, Team AVF.
The size and weight of the glass base should be more than enough to support the column with a 65 inch TV fitted. This is designed as a freestanding TV stand and will work with any TVs up to 65 inch and 40kg in weight. Please recheck your TV. There should be 4 holes in a square or rectangular pattern. We are unaware of any TVs that only have 2 holes. We wouldn't recommend mounting your TV only using 2 VESA holes. Regards, Team AVF.
