Great tv stand
I bought this stand to put our tv that was on the wall before in our bedroom, brilliant stand and really pleased with it. The height is really good as it’s over on my husband’s side at the bottom of our bedroom and can be easily seen. Very sturdy and no chance of tipping over. Despite other reviews saying it was hard to assemble we thought it was quite straightforward.

Yes if you want the stand without the shelf that would work fine. The shelf isn't structurally integral to the stand. There are however 4 holes through the column that are used to attach the shelf supports and these would be visible if you don't attach the shelf. Regards, Team AVF.
The size and weight of the glass base should be more than enough to support the column with a 65 inch TV fitted. This is designed as a freestanding TV stand and will work with any TVs up to 65 inch and 40kg in weight. Please recheck your TV. There should be 4 holes in a square or rectangular pattern. We are unaware of any TVs that only have 2 holes. We wouldn't recommend mounting your TV only using 2 VESA holes. Regards, Team AVF.
