My 90 year old Granny was looking for a new TV and we needed to get a new TV stand as her old one was too small! It was easy to assemble and it looks great in her lounge! It looks tidy and the shelves are spacious, however they are a little shorter than her previous stand and her picture frames no longer fit on the shelves

The AVF Wood Effect Up To 42 Inch TV Corner Stand can hold up to 37kg on the top shelf and up to 10kg on the each of the lower two shelves. Regards, Team AVF.
As long as the TV is under the maximum weight recommended and the TV legs/base fit on the top of the stand then it should be absolutely fine to put a 50" TV on that TV Stand. You will find that the TV will overhang the top of the TV stand as the screen will be wider than the stand itself. Regards, Team AVF.

This would be difficult to answer without knowing the width of the TV legs but it would not be advisable to have the TV overlapping the sides as it could potentially fall or be damaged. This is why the supplier has advised up to 42 inch TV only.
