About this product
This racing set puts your child in Mario Kart world with a friend at their side. Mario karts race head-to-head on the modular, blue-colour track with action elements including a flyover section, kart-activated flippers and a narrowing chicane section to knock off the unwary. Ergonomic hand controllers let small hands regulate speed easily, whilst encouraging hand/eye coordination. Trackside banners add Mario-themed atmosphere to every lap. Suitable for ages 3 and up with supervision required. The 2-player set includes two 1:50 scale race karts featuring Mario and Luigi, plus a track measuring nearly 3m that slots together easily without fuss. The track itself balances straight-line speed with interactive features. The set additionally requires 4x 1.5V LR14 C size batteries (not included) that will typically offer up to 6 hours of play. This electric track set encourages friendly competition indoors and helps develop motor skills, while keeping the Mario Kart magic alive at home. Assembled track requires a space of 114 x 87.5cm.

Carrera Mario Kart racing set
Great little set, especially for the price. My nephew loves it. I thought that it was an electric plug in set, but it actually runs on type C batteries. Something to take onto consideration. Over all, a great toy which will provide a lot of entertainment for the child you are buying it for, and currently a bargain too being discounted

I bought this for my as part of my Grandson's Christmas presents. I was there when he opened it. He loved it. It is not overly complicated for a 3 and a half year old. It was easy enough to assemble. Yeah good present.

Yes you can add the tracks together to build a bigger track but only one battery-box track can be used. You can't set up the boxes from both sets on the expanded track.
