Nice Watch
Bought a few weeks ago and so far so good. I like the sleep data and the HR monitor. However the strap it comes with caused me to have a rash on my wrist within a day of wearing it so have since changed to a fabric strap. The paying with the watch function doesn't accept many of the major cards to use - Halifax, Amex, RBS etc as I tried all I could. Wish I knew that before buying.

When an incident is detected by your Venu® 2 series watch and your phone is connected, the Garmin Connect app can send an automated text message and email with your name and GPS location (if available) to your emergency contacts. A message appears on your watch and paired phone indicating your contacts will be informed after 15 seconds have elapsed. If assistance is not needed, you can cancel the automated emergency message.

Notifications sent through the watch come from the phone, there are settings on Garmin Connect app that allows you to select which app notifications appear on the watch. This is the same for both iPhone and Android. Therefore it would be safe to assume Ring notifications should also appear, although it will not let you view the ring camera.

The nearest model with voice capability is the Garmin Venu 2 Plus. Not sure if there is an S or small variant of that model though.
