About this product
This Petface Cooling Dog Coat can be used in hot weather to cool down your dogs. It is also ideal to be used for unwell dogs to reduce their temperature. It is activated by water, as you put the coat on and then put the water on. Lightweight, the coat is cool and soft to the touch making it comfortable for your dog to wear. Hand wash only using cold water. Coat size is 30cm.

Every dog should have one of these
These cooling dog coats are amazing,really amazing. My dog loves it, it is so cooling and comfortable to wear. The fit can easily be adjusted with the two velcro straps to ensure it fits perfectly and I was amazed at how happy and content my dog was to wear it. I would recommend them to everyone. They really good value for money, not expensive and I would recommend them to everyone

Game changer
I can't recommend these enough for my dogs. Easy to use and kept them nice and cool in the hot heat, stopped all the panting will be ideal to take on holiday. I've not used on walks yet only in garden and around house as was too hot to walk them only early morning.

A great little cooling coat for my Cavapoo. It’s slightly too short in the body but going by measurements, the size M would have been too big. works really well on a hot day and keeps my dog cool whilst indoors.

The product is good, the description is wrong. It states girth, this is wrong. Girth is around the middle of the dog, what is required is the neck to base of the tail length

Great little coat
Works well just soak it in cold water and it softens. Keeps the dog cool in hot weather. I take a bottle of water with me so i can revive it when it starts to dry out. Bought for my little Yorkshire terrier and it's a great fit. Had an issue as the first coat arrived still wet and soiled. Argos customer services were brilliant at sorting that out. Used wet coat collected immediately and replacement delivered. Happy dog happy mum!

We bought thos when we were heading off in our motorhome kniwing it was going to be hot weather. Worked a treat! Much better than the cool mats that my dog won't go near. Our pooch was quite happy wearing it much to our surprise.

"The 30cm measurement is the length of coat, fitted when measured on the dog from the neck to the base of the tail. The cooling coats have adjustable Velcro straps for the chest and waist which covers most breeds of dogs."

Please see the care instructions for the item below:
1, Place the cooling coat in a bowl of cold water. 2, Gently knead the coat so it takes in enough water. 3, Wring excess water from the coat so it is not dripping. Place over the dogs back. 4, Secure the coat with the belt around the tummy and fastening at the front of the coat. If using every day you can store it slightly damp in a sealable bag, otherwise hang to dry. Do not unfold the coat when it is dry, soak it first to soften the material. Do not use the cooling coat on a cold day. If your dog appears to show signs of feeling cold, remove the coat immediately. Hand wash in cold water only.

I can advise the following on the Petface 30cm Cooling Dog Coat:
While you shouldn't walk a dog in extreme heat, this can be used in transport purposes if you need too, however it's designed to be used at home to allow the dog to become cooler.

We used a suiticle recovery coat for our dog and it worked perfectly. She stayed cool because its designed for the skin to breath.

This is designed for cooling your family pet when the weather is warm, this does not fully cover underneath as a recovery suit would. Unfortunately, we are not medically trained so can not advise if this would be suitable. Please speak to your veterinary practise for guidance.

The Petface Cooling Dog Coat are supplied in 5cm intervals, starting with the 30cm coat (smallest) with 50cms being the largest. Having checked with the supplier for you I can let you know that the 30cm is from neck to the base of the tail. They say the coats do also come with an adjustable strap underneath.
