About this product
The Vax Platinum Smartwash is a proper deep cleaning carpet cleaner that takes the effort out of getting carpets properly clean. Motion Sense Technology does the thinking for you, automatically washing as you push forwards and drying as you pull back, with no trigger to hold down. It dispenses the right amount of solution and water as you go, and there's a dedicated Dry Only mode that gets carpets dry in around an hour. At 8.6kg it's solid but manageable, and the 9m cord gives you decent reach without constantly switching sockets.
The Flexforce Brushbars have flexible bristles that work deep into carpet fibres to lift stains, dirt and grime, and the edge-to-edge design means you won't miss bits along skirting boards. The clean water tank holds 3.5l and the dirty tank 1.9l, letting you clean several rooms before refilling or emptying. It works on carpets, stairs and upholstery, and includes a 2.5m hose, 2-in-1 Antimicrobial Tool, Spinscrub Hand Tool, accessory bag, 500ml Vax Platinum Antibacterial Solution, and 250ml Pre-Treatment Solution. There's a safety cut-out when full, a carry handle, and it cleans spills as well as deep dirt.

Vax smart wash carpet cleaner
I have used this once after having bought it a month ago. I cleaned all the carpets in the house in just two half days. My deep pile carpets came up like new and were dry in a couple of hours. Very easy to use.

Easy to use.

Nice quality VAX for a good price in their sale. The automatic wash/dry/push/pull feature is excellent. Easy to assemble and intuitive to use. The handheld spot clean attachments are also effective.

Brilliant carpet cleaner, simple step by step guide how to assemble, easy to use, carpets came up lovely and dried within couple of hours! Guarantee already in place from purchase, registered by VAX themselves which is such a good move. Wish other companies would do this. Steam cleaner that came FOC was another winner, whilst we already had one, the VAX steam cleaner wins hands down. Recommend both pieces of equipment without any hesitation.

A great improvement
Upgraded to this newer model it’s much lighter than the previous one, and I like the ease of the detachable brushes to clean them, you couldn’t do that with my previous one, also the automatic mixing of water and solution , no more keeping your finger on the trigger button! A little on the flimsy side but all in all excellent , ,
