The Vax Platinum Smartwash is a proper deep cleaning carpet cleaner that takes the effort out of getting carpets properly clean. Motion Sense Technology does the thinking for you, automatically washing as you push forwards and drying as you pull back, with no trigger to hold down. It dispenses the right amount of solution and water as you go, and there's a dedicated Dry Only mode that gets carpets dry in around an hour. At 8.6kg it's solid but manageable, and the 9m cord gives you decent reach without constantly switching sockets.
The Flexforce Brushbars have flexible bristles that work deep into carpet fibres to lift stains, dirt and grime, and the edge-to-edge design means you won't miss bits along skirting boards. The clean water tank holds 3.5l and the dirty tank 1.9l, letting you clean several rooms before refilling or emptying. It works on carpets, stairs and upholstery, and includes a 2.5m hose, 2-in-1 Antimicrobial Tool, Spinscrub Hand Tool, accessory bag, 500ml Vax Platinum Antibacterial Solution, and 250ml Pre-Treatment Solution. There's a safety cut-out when full, a carry handle, and it cleans spills as well as deep dirt.

Shame about the upholstery attachment.
I am very pleased with the carpet cleaner, it is easy to use and does a good job. However I feel that the upholstery attachment is not a good design. The water does not go up into the tool head but squirts out underneath. It sprays too much water and does not do a good job of cleaning upholstery properly.

Awful product
Had this product a couple years and it hasn’t been used many times, from the beginning the hose part and attachments never sucked up water it just left the carpets soaked so I didn’t use that part again. Fast forward to now we tried to clean the carpets with the main machine and again it’s left the carpets soaked, no hoses or openings blocked just has no suction at all. Now we are left with drenched carpets and hoping they dry without leaving a damp smell. Awful product for the price.

Great machine.
This product is very large & heavy when not in use, you need a big storage cupboard !. The machine it's self I am very happy with as it cleaned & virtually dried my lounge carpet brilliantly. The only down side I found was it doesn't always wash with the first push forward, it stays on dry then suddenly changes to wash but I got used to it. The tanks are easy to fill & empty but the brushes to clean afterwards can be a bit of a faff. Very glad I bought it.
