The light is bright enough, but any movement has to be a lot nearer to the sensor than advertised. Instructions say the light can be positioned 3m above the ground. In reality the max is 2m and even then you need to be very close to activate the light

Bought one of these well over a year ago and have been so pleased with it. 8m range for the pir and really nice and bright illumination. I didn't hesitate to buy another when I saw it in the sale.

Best light ever
This is the best thing that I've done for my garden this year it looks so beautiful and lovely it's quite sensitive to movement and easy to install the light is so bright it covers a very long part of my garden from one end to another is so bright that you can see everything nothing cannot be seen apple three of these to cover the garden but I realized that the light is to much I had to keep one for just in case though light can be directed to different direction which is why easy and cover a lot of space in the garden perfect is beautiful love it

The supplier has advised the following for the 1000 Lumen Solar PIR Floodlight:
This has a set of 3 dials which you use to adjust the range, time, and light levels which will trigger it coming on. These are:
SENS: Motion sensitivity. The lamp will light up once it detects movement within 5-8 metres from the sensor.
TIME: Lights up for 8-60 secs (approximately).
LUX: Light sensitivity. Turning the dial adjusts the sensitivity. (Moon logo - lights up only at night. Sun logo - Lights up during Day and Night).

After checking with our supplier they have advised for the Argos Home 1000 Lumen Solar PIR Floodlight 920/4096: The batteries cannot be replaced. It can be cycle used 500 times, it means this can be used for more than one year.

I have spoken to our supplier who have advised as follows:
The Home 1000 Lumen Solar PIR Floodlight is a large and would be difficult to fix on a fence.
The width of fence may be not suitable to fix this lamp.
We advise it is fixed on the wall.
