The powerful 4.5 bar pressure provides 100 g of steady steam with a 150 g steam shot to handle everything from delicate silks to heavy denims.
The 1.3L detachable tank lets you iron longer with fewer refills, while the ceramic soleplate glides effortlessly. Vertical steam refreshes hanging clothes, and the precision tip reaches tricky spots. Auto shut-off and anti-drip add safety. Backed by a 3-year guarantee.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Russell Hobbs Colour Control SteamPower Steam Generator Iron: ''The Colour Control SteamPower Steam Generator Iron 25401 has been designed to be used with tap water. In case you live in an area with very hard water, fast scale build-up may occur. Therefore, it is recommended to mix 50% distilled water and 50% tap water, or to use only distilled water to prolong the lifetime of your appliance. Do not put perfume, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids or other chemicals in the water tank, as your appliance is not designed to work with these chemicals.''

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Russell Hobbs Colour Control SteamPower Steam Generator Iron: ''This product comes with a filter and an anti-scale cartridge. For the filter we recommend that you remove and clean the filter every 6 uses depending on the water hardness in your area. The warning light/reset button will flash to remind you that the filter needs cleaning. Doing this will extend the life of the unit.
For the anti-scale cartridge it will need changing between 50-100 uses depending on the hardness of the water.''

This does not need any cartridges, it has a water tank that the iron sits on. You just fill the water tank with water and your ready to go.

Yes this iron does take tap water but in areas where the water is hard you may want to filter it first to reduce build up of limescale
