About this product
Some rooms don't need full-blast heating - just a gentle background hum of warmth to keep things comfortable. The Glen 500W skirting heater is made for exactly that, delivering steady convection heat in conservatories, hallways, utility rooms, or any space where you want to take the edge off without cranking up the thermostat.
You can mount it low on the wall where it blends into the skirting line, or set it freestanding - either way, it quietly gets on with warming the room around your routine. The programmable timer means you can match it to your week, whilst the thermostatic control switches it off once your chosen temperature is reached, keeping running costs sensible. Frost protection mode keeps cold snaps at bay, and the built-in safety cut-out adds peace of mind. Wall fixings are included alongside a 1.5m cord, so it fits into awkward spots without fuss and comes ready to use straight out of the box.

Compact, economical heater ideal for small spaces with effective thermostat and timer features; some find it underpowered and controls tricky. Safe but surface can get hot.

Cheaply run
I bought this in winter and it works so well and cheap to run. Looks nice too as small near your skirting boards. Thermostat works well and very quite u can’t hear it at all. The timer is a great feature too. I didn’t mount mine it stands on the floor

Performs well!
This is really great it heats a room well and is discreet. Feet easy to attach. I am planning on getting another one for downstairs in autumn. The only downside is if free standing on the feet the controls are difficult to reach or see as you have to lie down on the floor! A remote control version would be good.

I bought this fee months ago and still very happy with it.

Good - but take care
I have 2 of these heaters. I do not use the timer/scheduling feature. I just use it as thermostat controlled device. One of them is fixed to the wall - 4 fixings are provided, but I hung it on 2, as it seemed impossible to fix it with 4. Heater surface can get quite hot - so be careful if you have young children. Other than this it's good kit.

Hopeful they help with damp.
Bought 2 of these for a room that gets damp, not had time to assess them yet, but optimistic. Not that easy to fit to a wall.

Warms a cold corner. Easy to program
I bought this to warm up cold corner in our stone cottage. In winter, the wall can feel damp but this has helped immensely. It won’t warm the room, but has reduced condensation on the stone wall. Easy to program

Stylish Compact Design
Nice compact heater ideal for taking the chill off the room and complimenting the heating. Great for positioning near bifold doors.

Hello Stacey,
I can advise the following for the Glen 500W Wall Mounted or Freestanding Skirt Heater:
This is mains powered by a 3 pin plug. It's designed to be low to the ground, heat does come out of the top. You would need to test to ensure that the TV doesn't overheat with the heater above it as the TV will be giving heat off as well.
Thanks for using Q & A.

Hi Tinky,
The Glen 500W Wall Mounted or Freestanding Skirt Heater is designed to be wall-mounted near the skirting board. However, placing it behind a sofa may not be ideal as it could inhibit heat distribution and reduce the heater's effectiveness. It is recommended to place the heater as close to the wall as possible to ensure it operates at the right temperature and provides optimal heating.

Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Glen 500W Wall Mounted or Freestanding Skirt Heater: As it releases the heat upwards, if they were placed on top of a kitchen cabinet then there is a very high chance of the heater overheating and cutting out so we wouldn't recommend.
