Really Disappointing
Really disappointed in this item, doesn’t produce much heat at all bought it to heat a small room and think it would struggle to heat a shoe box in all honesty. Ended up taking it back and ordered another brand which is doing a much better job

Heater.
What a fabulous heater,my room is medium size and this heats my room up really well.im on a pay as you go electric meter,it works out maybe 20 or 25 p per twenty minutes or slightly more,it's a ruff work out but something like that.i have it on a hour to five hours some times and find that not a huge amount goes on the meter.its been really good during the really cold nights and mornings.so glad I bought it.it goes up to 30 c in temp and heats fast.its long and slim I have it on the floor by the bed.and is great.

Great heat it produces
Got this to put under my 3 glass tall frontage bay window that room never heats up like my snug room, the one 16 tube radiator on the wall is not enough I wanted it to sit in the recess but sadly it’s a bit too long but that’s okay as it’s a very low one, it works wonders brilliant for extra heat in the room I just put it on 17degrees I find that enough in fact I’ve turned it right down within an hour to 14degrees it works so well.. PLEASE PLEASE be aware of one thing don’t touch it with bare hands it’s so hot it will scold very badly use oven gloves / glove before touching or moving and keep children and babies well away …..

Useful & effective heater
The setting of the timer wasn’t as easy as claimed but otherwise a neat and effective heater.

Very Useful
Very useful for keeping the Conservatory warm overnight, when it's frosty outside. I like the newer model that you can now programme.

Already have another still going after 5+ years
I bought this recently and had to return as it didn't turn on as it should. Argos simply swapped it for me and it's been working great in my garage office. Easy to mount, it's ideal for small spaces. I've set it to 14 degrees and it maintains that temperature, cutting out when it needs too. You can also set days and times if you need to. I bought this one from Glen specifically as we have another one in the small bedroom that's still going after 5+ years, so well worth the money Already have one of these for a small bedroom and wanted to get this for the garage office.

Hi Tinky,
The Glen 500W Wall Mounted or Freestanding Skirt Heater is designed to be wall-mounted near the skirting board. However, placing it behind a sofa may not be ideal as it could inhibit heat distribution and reduce the heater's effectiveness. It is recommended to place the heater as close to the wall as possible to ensure it operates at the right temperature and provides optimal heating.
Thanks for using Q&A
This is a convector heater not a fan heater.

Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Glen 500W Wall Mounted or Freestanding Skirt Heater: As it releases the heat upwards, if they were placed on top of a kitchen cabinet then there is a very high chance of the heater overheating and cutting out so we wouldn't recommend.

Hello Jo.
Glen 500W Wall Mounted or Freestanding Skirt Heater:
Running costs are subject to change and will depends on your service providers tarrifs and your usage times. This uses 0.5kWh so you would need to multiply this but the time of usage then multiply again by your electricity rate.
Based on a current average rate of £0.34 per kWh for electricity in the UK this would cos approx 17p per hour to run.
Thank you for using Q&A.
