Website specific details enabled me to choose this fire. I needed specific size and heating levels, together with 1930 house design. The large room required adequate heat generation and the Dimplex satisfied all these aspects. Delivery was swift . All in all exemplary customer service.

Great little fire
I bought this fire a few weeks ago for my 94 year old father. His old fire and the heating both decided to stop working at the same time during the recent spell of very cold weather. He needed a traditional fire with the older style bars ( just like his previous fire that was familiar to him) and a fire that would be simple to use for an older person. I hoped that it could be positioned quickly and ready to switch on easily in a matter of minutes as the house had become extremely cold.This product proved to be fabulous. This fire doesn’t disappoint with a product that provides a lot of warmth and looks pleasing in a more traditional looking house.It also has a safety cage/bars at the front of the fire to prevent any accidents. As well as this it doesn’t have the constant hum of the more modern fires that blow out hot air. Great little fire - just take out of the box, position, plug in and you are good to go. The correct measurements were very important to me as it had to fit into the hearth -fits perfectly! He is delighted!!!

It's recommended to use this on a level floor against a wall.
Please note, although this heater complies with safety
standards, it's not recommended to use
on deep pile carpets or on long hair type
of rugs.

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the Dimplex Yeominster 1.2kW Classic Electric Freestanding Fire.
While it may be technically possible to replace the 40W–60W Fireglow bulb with an LED bulb of similar wattage, we don’t recommend it. LED bulbs typically don’t produce the same warm, flickering glow as traditional Fireglow bulbs, which may affect the visual effect of the fire. For best results, we suggest using the original type of bulb specified for the unit.

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for Dimplex Yeominster 1.2kW Classic Electric Freestanding Fire.
There is no safety switch on the Yeominster. This will need to be attached to the wall.
Instructions below:
Place the heater in the location where it is intended to be used and with a pencil mark the location of the holes on the wall. Lift the heater safely to one side and carefully drill and plug the wall using a suitable fixing plug for the type of wall. Place the heater back in position and screw the heater in position.
