I bought this Brabantia ironing board to replace a brand new one of another, cheaper make from China which my wife had bought recently. This broke after just the very first time we used it when putting it away, the legs coming adrift from their mountings. The Brabantia board is much more robust and also has a long guarantee. To avoid wasting money in the longer-term don't go for cheaper inferior makes and also be very wary of reviews which say something is good when it's quickly apparent it isn't. I have other Brabantia products and they are worth the investment if they last well as they appear to.

Great height
Very sturdy and easy to put up/down, large board and cover doesn’t ride or crease. A little expensive but has 10 year warranty so worth paying the extra.

To clarify, 38cm is the size of the Ironing surface (124 x 38cm).
If the board is folded for storage the depth is 7cm, width is 48.5cm and the height 160.5cm.
