Simple coffee maker

So far....
So far so good, filters the coffee reasonably quickly, the brew is hot and stays heated for a good length of time. Seems sturdy and well made. Good price. Time will tell....

All good thank you. Good value, nicely boxed and does what it says. If I had a wish it would be that the coffee pot warming plate either had a timer or did not cut off after only 30 minutes.

Great choice
I bought this to replace my previous Morphy Richards Filter Coffee Machine - which lasted over 20 years! This is an improvement on the design and quality of the drink. The extraction is quicker and consistent. The coffee is hotter and is kept at a constant temperature. This was definitely a good choice and excellent value for money.

Good For The Price
Bought this to replace a De Longhi machine and so far we haven't been disappointed. It has no bells or whistles but it does drip hot water onto coffee grounds and catch the resultant brown liquid efficiently. These are definitely the features I look for in a coffee machine so it does the important stuff well. The only thing I'd mention is that we prefer to use paper filters rather than the permanent filter it comes with, and although you can remove the permanent filter, the paper filters are a little small for the plastic cone you're fitting them. Given that the water dripping mechanism has holes going right to the edge of the plastic cone below it, using paper filters does leave you with the possibility that water from the outside ring of nozzles may miss the filter paper entirely, giving you weaker coffee than you were expecting. If you're careful fitting the filter, this mostly doesn't seem to be a problem. Generally it seems reasonably sturdy, the exception being the plastic cone the filter goes into which is pretty flimsy.

Great coffee machine for Americano coffee. Makes a good coffee in short space of time. Small in kitchen so doesn’t take up a lot of surface space. Pretty efficient and good price.

From the information we have this item can be used with Melitta cone shape paper filters, both 1 x 2 and 1 x 4 can be used.

The third image shows the filter can be removed along with the part which it sits in and that small springy item should be a anti-drip feature if im not mistaken.

The Morphy Richards 162501 Filter Coffee Machine does have an illuminated on/off switch, which makes it suitable for use with a smart plug. This means you can control it remotely by turning the smart plug on or off, as long as the coffee machine's switch is left in the "on" position.
