It let me down after six months
I purchased my Kitchenaid and all was going well, a lot of money but I'd heard lots of good things about the mixer including seeing it in operation on the television series Bake Off. Unfortunately two weeks ago while clearing mixture off the paddle beater with a spatula, it started working without warning. The only way to stop it was to remove the.plug from the wall socket. Its now gone back to Kitchenaid to be repaired, probably for a new speed control and isolating control. Hopefully it will be ok when it returns. Not often I have to return something in less.than twelve months.

Good but could be better
Lovely equipment but find it very difficult to release the bowl from the stand. The arm of mixer is very heavy and you need to be careful not trapping fingers

Kitchenaid artisan mixer
I had a previous version of this mixer which worked without problems for 16 years. When it broke down I replaced it with another artisan, I had several attachments so felt invested, Unfortunately I had problems with the replacement after less than 3 years, the repair caused a further fault and the mixer was replaced, the replacement was faulty and repaired. I currently have a working mixer but have lost faith in the brand.

Excellent product
I decided to make a few cakes and my partner saw i loved it, ive been ill for years and have lost strength, so he bought me this stand mixer. Its amazing, it makes it so much easier for me. The rubber edge beater is the attachment i use most as you dont need to scrape down ingredients, i recommend everyone should get one. Its an easy machine to use. I got so excited with it i made too many cakes so my neighbours get cakes too.

Awesome product
The product is awesome, i cant fault it, i’m really Im reallt delighted with it. It seems super sturdy and well made. My only gripe is it doesnt come with a even a basic cookbook. The instructions that come in the box are really rudimentary. I nearly contented myself that I’d receive a digital cookbook when i registered my product (as the leaflet in the box suggests), but after a week this hasn’t appeared.

To be brutally honest, not a lot. The internal workings of the new mixers are exactly the same, as are the external form and dimensions. You still get a mixer with a robust and stable full metal construction, powerful direct drive motor and planetary action which moves the beater to the edge of the bowl at 67 different points. The attachment hub is also the same, turning the mixer into a true kitchen aid thanks to the many useful attachments available. The main difference is the amount of attachments that come with the different models.
'Off-white' is not very accurate! Almond Cream is the colour name provided by Kitchen Aid.
