About this product
The Argos Home Black Floodlight with PIR brings security lighting to your garden, driveway or property entrance. The motion sensor picks up movement from a wide detection angle, switching on automatically when someone approaches. Built to handle outdoor weather with an IP44 rating, it keeps working through rain and cold. The adjustable PIR lets you fine-tune the sensor to cover the areas you need most. Suitable for use with low energy bulbs, it works with bulbs up to 120 watts, giving you bright light without wasting energy.
The black finish fits with most outdoor settings, whether it's a shed wall, garage or house side. Easy to install and position exactly where you want coverage. The floodlight runs on a single linear halogen bulb, sold separately. The detection range reaches out far enough to catch visitors before they get close, alerting you to activity around your property. Energy class C means it balances performance with efficiency, and the sensor switches off once movement stops.

This is a replacement for the same model bought some years ago that finally failed by water ingress. I'm very pleased with brightness, response to movement and durability.

Don't bother
I purchased this security light, opened the box & found there was no bulb supplied On further inspection the foil reflective back was loose & not fitted properly. The glass front had gaps around the edges which could allow water to get inside. It felt flimsy & shoddily made. I repacked & returned it to store.

Great security addition
I bought this item a couple of months ago & am really impressed with the price as it gives a wide range of light as anything passes the end of my drive. It never fails to pick anything passing by, even vehicles & cats. Looking like it will last a good while; brightness is superb

Good Product
I am very pleased with this product. Its sensitivity is the best I have had. However, it's annoying to have to buy a bulb separately, just include it and increase the price. Also, when putting the bulb in, the seal did not cover the four corners as I could see light. It was nothing that clear mastic could not fix at the back of the unit. Despite these comments, I would still buy this product again, as it is a solid well built construction.

Yes, there is a sensitivity control labelled “SENS” on the dial. To make the light come on from further away, turn the “SENS” dial clockwise to increase sensitivity. This will extend the detection range up to its maximum (around 12 meters). Turning it counterclockwise reduces the range.
