Fine product
Though I am happy with the product, price went down by around 30 pounds within days of buying.i called customer care aout this. They said it will be processed. Nothing happened.i feel cheated. Won't buy again with Argos.

Easy to use and Responsive
Had one identical but needed a second one for the campervan. Made sense to get one the same. Works well and easy to increase or decrease the heat on the manual setting. Very happy with it.

Works OK but lowest setting too powerful
Works OK but lowest setting too powerful. If you want to keep something warm/hot/ticking over while something else finishes (on another hob), the on lowest setting is too high/powerful causing tbjngs to burn. The lowest setting should be 100w with other setting working up sensibly to full on a max setting.

For the price, this hob works well. Like many plug in single ring induction hobs, the annoying things are: 1) irritating beeps at every button press 2) low heat settings cycle on and off so your pot bubbles frantically, then calms down, then bubbles etc. 3) it hums when working

Hi, when you press the start button, a beep sounds and the display shows 00. Then you can choose the desired mode. The hob automatically switches-off after 5 minutes without any action. Hi, the suitable cooking pots for this pan are: double bottom pots made of iron series (enamel, cast iron or stainless steel) or magnetic induction materials with flat bottom diameter of over 12 cm and less than 24 cm.
We can advise that the ring size is approximately 19cm.

Our supplier has advised the following regarding the Tefal IH201840 Induction Hob - Black.
The product is design for house hold mains and current supply. We do know of consumers who have fitted them into Camper Vans but with DC to AC converter systems that are spec’d to cover the max current and voltage required. There are on the camping market low wattage induction hobs, ours is not a low wattage hob.
