Good purchase.
Purchased as a Christmas present ; recipient delighted. I too am impressed with the quality of this item - solid base and supports with the hanging ball bearings well fitted. This is better quality than a lot of others we have seen ( unless you pay a great deal more), at a reasonable price, I think.

Newtons Cradle
I bought this as a Christmas present for my 10 year old grandson. We checked it out first to make sure the base was heavy enough and the balls weren't plastic. I was pleasantly suprised, and thought it was good value for £13, would purchase again. Grandson loved it to sit on his desk.

Christmas present
As far as I can tell this is great - it’s very well packed inside so was loathe to open it up completely but expecting great things as so much care has clearly been taken to look after it already! Easy as always to order and collect

Hi Hig,
Regarding the RED5 Newton's Cradle. The balls on the Newton’s Cradle are not stainless steel.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Answering my own question here because I bought it.. Swinging one ball from about a 90 degree angle you get a 90 second session of ball clicking motion. Swinging from about 45 degree angle you get 75 seconds of ball swinging click motion. I say clicks as a way of measuring, the motion after the clicking of balls stops, goes on slightly longer. Should be good and long enough for labour contractions and distraction!
Hi Char
This is subject to a number of variables such as height released, no of balls released, even the relative humidity and temperature will have a bearing on the length of time, it will certainly be in minutes/seconds rather than hours though.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Nosirrah,
I can confirm that this base is black.
I hope this helps
Thank you for using Q&A
Hi Scrodinger,
This Newton's Cradle shows an example of conservation of energy, conservation of momentum and friction rather than perpetual motion.
