About this product
This OBDII car diagnostic tool from Streetwize helps you to identify why your engine light is showing. This diagnostic tool is suitable for both professional and home use and displays both generic and manufacturer-specific diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Compatible with petrol vehicles from 1996 onwards and diesel vehicles from 2004 onwards. Please note: The reader will not read codes for airbags and braking systems. Also, it is not compatible with motorcycles, hybrid & electric vehicles.
The OBDII reader is easy-to-use, simply connect the tool to the OBDII port of your vehicle for it to power up and the device will pinpoint the fault. No batteries required, simply plug into your OBDII port for it to power up.
This tool can determine the malfunction indicator lamp status (MIL), the emission readiness status and also retrieves the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on 2002 and newer vehicles that support Mode 9.

Does the job
Pretty basic but works with most cars built after 2002 with an obd2 port. It tells you fault codes, you can clear them but if it’s a fault that needs looking at the engine management light will come back on. It can tell you the VIN and other information about the car that can be useful
