Variable speed and long cable
Variable speed, yes but lacks the higher speed levels seen in other makes. Also. if you have it on a higher speed and then turn it off, you have to start from one again on the pressure pad back up to 9. Give the impression that eventually continual use of the pressure switch will result in it failing due frequency use. Plus wise, nice to see a mixer with a long cable for a change, which is helpful

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the KitchenAid 5KHM9212BER Electric Hand Mixer: In the life cycle testing at the manufacturing plant, we were able to find maximum cycles of 4 minutes being used 'under load'. This is the guideline we give to consumers. If they need for a longer period of time , we would suggest they change to a stand mixer.
