Beautiful replacement lamp
I bought this to replace my old lamp in my bedroom. I'm glad I did. It looks really nice with the Habitat green lampshade I bought from Argos too. It's a really nice finish, it looks homely. It has an inline switch and a clear wire and plug which is nice because we don't all have white rooms. Highly recommend.

Not very practical as a replacement bedside lamp.
Bought to replace a broken bedside lamp. Things to know: 1 The switch is on the cord about 25-30 cm from base, not on the bulb holder. This means it is not easy to find in the dark especially if the cord has dropped down behind the beside table. 2 The diameter of the bulb holder is larger than a normal UK bayonet bulb holder, so your old lamp shade probably will not fit.

In answer to my own question after some research - halogen bulbs are now banned, it is illegal to sell them anymore. Therefore, I am sure the lamp must work with an led bulb - otherwise, surely it could not be sold by Argos anymore?
