Never buying again
I have bought this light bulb twice, it lasted 3 months and then purchased again and it lasted 3 days when it should of lasted more than a year, thought it would be really good as it’s a Philips and it’s not like it’s cheap so have no faith in this light bulb

This is a LARGE bulb!
Took this back as was just too big for the lampshade... It's huge, about 17cm long and sticks out underneath the bottom of most modern lampshades... Have had this bulb before in other fittings (forgot how big it was!), ignore the lasts 5 yrs as it doesn't - mine went after 18 months which is not acceptable given the cost, and also light output dimmed noticeably well before then! Also it is NOT as bright as a 200w ordinary filament bulb, more like 125w or something!

Faulty item
Sadly, when I attempted to put the bulb in the light bulb holder, the bottom metal part of the bulb snapped off. On inspection, I found that the cement that is used to fasten the metal bulb fitting to the glass bulb was almost non existent. I RETURNED THE BULB THE NEXT DAY AND HAD ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES IN RETURNING IT AND GETTING A FULL REFUND. GOOD SERVICE FROM ARGOS STAFF.
