Overpriced
It is really quiet compared to other pumps. But I had issues with the first pump I brought (battery running really hot and leaving red marks on my skin), then the replacement that was sent would not connect to the app and finally the third one seems to be working. While the customer service from Elvie was pretty good, I can’t understand the £270 price tag - I don’t think it’s value for money and wouldn’t recommend. They only provide 2 flange sizes which means if they don’t fit, you have to buy flanges that do which is an unnecessary additional expense in my opinion.

So glad I bought this
Really like this pump, very easy to set up and use. Very quiet and can be used on the go, and milk output can be tracked in real time via the app.

Great product when it works but expensive
Aesthetically we were really impressed with this product. However, following the sterilisation instructions lead to the plastic parts being warped so badly that we didn’t get one use out of it. It took Elvie 3 weeks to rectify. All in all, not a great start for an expensive gadget. On the other hand, if you want spares, they deliberately sell all the bits in non-uniform sets, so you can’t just buy one or two spare tanks, you end up having to buy 6 at a large cost if you want a complete unit. This has either been done through thoughtlessness, or deliberately to force customers to spend more with them. When the product works, it’s great. My wife finds it easy to use, easy to set up and it fits in her bra easily. You have to be upright when pumping, but that’s gravity for you… I’d suggest this product ONLY under with the knowledge that you any steam sterilise the parts. And if you want spares, you have to be prepared to spend the same price again. There are very similar products on the market that don’t price gouge like this.

Amazing pump with a few flaws
This pump has made it possible to give my little boy breast milk. I'm exclusively pumping (so my little one gets breast milk but from a bottle) which means I have to pump 6 times a day and need to average at least 1litre every 24 hrs. If it weren't for the ease of these pumps, I don't think I'd have been able to only feed him breast milk as in a 3hr feed window I wouldn't have time to get everything done if I weren't able to be up and about (doing washing/cleaning bottles/feeding myself) at the same time. These pumps are AMAZING and I would recommend them to everyone. The few flaws I've noticed are: If you bend over too much while wearing the pumps they will leak a bit, so good for hoovering, cleaning surfaces, washing up, going for a gentle walk, sitting down and eating etc. but nothing overly active like bathing a child or cleaning a shower. The white electric parts of the pump are very tricky to clean.

Great portal pump
Great little pump to use on the move. It's not the most discrete under clothing - and it's very quiet but not complete quiet - however its the best one I've found on the market and has given me a lot more freedom when pumping. It's a big investment, but I think it's worth it..

Great investment for a new mum
I bought this for my daughter who had just had a baby. Brilliant! The baby preferred bottle to breast and with this she gets the best of both. Mum and dad can feed her and they know exactly how much she has had! Win win win!

Elvie actually has a 2 year warranty.
Hi Katherine
The Elvie Single Breast Pump comes with a 12month manufacturers warranty but of course is also covered by the Argos 12 month warranty as well. Each run concurrently.
Thanks for using Argos Q & A.
Hello and thanks for the question.
Elvie Pump has been designed to fit within a standard nursing bra and the cup size makes no difference to how Elvie Pump works.
Getting the right sized Breast Shield is key for comfort and performance. This is based on the size of your nipple only. Each Elvie Pump comes with Breast Shields in two sizes (24mm and 28mm) and a size guide on the Breast Shields themselves so that you can find your best fit. We also have an additional, smaller size (21mm) available separately, if needed.
Hope this helps!
