About this product
Play the pro with this Tabletop Oil Drum BBQ. Loads of features put you in control. The smart black steel firebowl has an enamel steel wire cooking grill with handles for easy removal. The warming rack is useful for keeping cooked food piping hot. And an adjustable charcoal tray lets you control the level of heat to your grill. You can even control the airflow when the lid is down, just use the air vent in the lid. When you've finished being chef, remove the ashtray and wipe it all down, easy.
This BBQ is portable so pop it in the car and take it to the beach. Don't forget to pack throws to sit on, picnic glasses and a corkscrew ready to toast your BBQ success.
The main body and the lid of this item are both painted with 350C heat-resistant paint.

We bought this BBQ to supplement our fire pit for a bigger family gathering. The assembly was straightforward - once I worked out that I should fully unfold the warming shelf to fit it correctly! We used Bar-B-Quick instant lighting lumpwood charcoal from Argos and we had no problems at all. The warming shelf is great and the grill shelf lifts out for cleaning which is really easy because of the enamel coating ( and it fits my sink perfectly). Such a good price for a stress free piece of equipment! Thanks Argos we had a great BBQ ( sorry no photo of sizzling food - we ate it all!!)

While coal in its natural state is never used alone in a barbeque or smoker, it can be added to charcoal briquettes to increase the energy density. If cooking food though, there may be problems as it can smell strongly of crude oil, sulphur, petroleum etc.

Mine would not stand safely on any surface. Holes in legs and drum not aligned so not all four legs touched the ground! Other quality issues with it and replacement. Returned and went elsewhere.

It doesn’t take that much coal. Less then what you would put in a larger drum!... hope that helps?
Not loads as the coal grate is fairly small but I use a split cooking method and only fill half the grate and I cooked for 6 people. You would need to add more coals if you were going to cook for a few hours.

Apologies for the delay in replying.
It will always depend on the weight capacity of the table. The BBQ itself weighs 7.2Kg and then you have to consider the weight of the charcoal and food cooking. The lighter and flimsier the table, the greater chance of the table toppling over so all these things have to be considered. A good flat surface for the table to stand on is also imperative.
