The Argos Home Dancing Flame Solar String Lights bring warm outdoor lighting without wires or plugs to fuss with. Ten gold-coloured casings each hold a long-lasting LED that flickers like tiny flames when darkness falls, adding a soft glow to patios, garden corners, or festival camping spots. The solar panel charges the battery during the day, giving you light without running up bills. The onoff switch lets you control when they light up, and they turn on automatically at dusk.
The included rechargeable battery and ten LED bulbs mean you've got everything in the box to get started. Once fully charged, you get several hours of flickering light after sunset. The solar panel recharges the battery naturally, so you can use them night after night through spring and summer. Look very nice, if they work.
These lights are very pretty with the flame effect. They do look a bit tacky close up in daylight lbut on the top of a pergola at night they look quite good. Unfortunately I had to return 2 sets that didn't work before I managed to get 3 sets that did, and one of those needs a bit of coaxing to work but I couldn't be botheted to take another set back. So they don't seem to be very well made. If you buy these I would recommend you test them straight away in case you need to return them. That being said, they do look all right once they're up.

There is no way of checking the other sets to see if they are working other than to allow them to charge outside and see if the lights come on. If they do then the first set can be safely said to be faulty. If they don't then you will need to check whether there has been a step omitted from the set up as it would be unusual for all three to be faulty.

You could join two sets together with the individual solar batteries at either end. You cannot run both sets though off the same battery.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised: The total length is 4.7 metres. This includes a 2 metre length from the solar panel to the first light. The distance between each light is 30 cm.

The Habitat 10 Dancing Flame Solar String Lights are not waterproof but water resistant.
They have an industry standard rating of IP44 which means they are for outdoor use.
