Bought this in an emergency at Christmas as our other bed developed a slow puncture. It will be fine to use in a room where the heating is turned on. It should neither be next to nor close to the heating unit or any open flame heat sources though due to safety precautions and measures. Being too close to the heat source can also jeopardise the material of the bed.

I bought this yesterday and you can use a manual pump. The nozzle goes into the hole in the electric fan switch, turn to inflate and then pump away.

Mains plug only, I could not find a valve for manually inflation.
