Wonderful - works better than expected
My situation is a little unique I think. My server rack ( specifically a 42u one ) was lacking connectivity to my homes main router since it was being "overloaded" so we got these routers and linked them up to a second broadband line. Issue fixed! Both networks are super speedy :)

Easy to set up and good signal
I bought the mesh a few weeks ago. I'm happy overall. The app is easy to navigate through, so the set up is easy. If you have the old copper wires, just make sure you have a DSL modem at home, to which these units connect. One unit took a little longer to connect to the mesh, but it was because it was initially a bit far. Once I connected it to the mesh from a closer distance I could move it back to its intended place, with no issues in signal. Walls in old buildings (like mine) do affect the signal power significantly, so make sure you place them strategically, or buy one/two extra units (I'll probably buy one more over time). My flat is 200 sqm in two floors, bottom being the larger part at around 150 sqm. I have the X50 DSL modem on one side of the property on the bottom floor (where the Openreach port is, unfortunately far from the centre or the property), two of these X50 units downstairs and one more upstairs. Still, I might need to buy an extra device. So, the reach might be what they say in ideal conditions, but your building materials and where the DSL modem unit must be located will impact the number and distribution of your units. Luckily, they are not visually damaging like other routers, so I can put them in visible spaces without compromising the aesthetics too much.

Great product
Great product, the only thing to note is that it’s not very good connecting to outside devices within 10meter radius.

Terrific boost to coverage.
Brought this to solve an issue with a drop of internet coverage when on Teams calls when working from home. Simple plug and pay with a very good app.

Exactly what I needed
I moved into a three bedroom apartment with solid brick walls. I tried using the single internet provider router, an entry level Eero mesh system and a WiFi booster. None of them worked well, and I needed a solid WFH setup, preferably without the hassle of wires. This works like a charm and I don't worry about connectivity anymore. Fast, reliable and with all the features I would want. Honestly don't waste your money on boosters, this is much better. You may not need all three though, depending on your property layout.

Really speeded up
I bought those to improve wifi speed and coverage. I was previously using Powerlink adaptors. After a bit of juggling with locations I have improved the whole system from around 25Mbs to about 150mbs - Amazingly better.

Hello jkksanders,
The supplier has advised the following for the TP-Link Deco X50 AX3000 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System 3 Pack:
"Here’s the clear answer regarding the TP-Link Deco X50 (3-Pack) system:
They Connect Wirelessly or via Ethernet (Ethernet Backhaul):
The Deco X50 units can connect to each other wirelessly to form a mesh network. However, you can also connect them together using Ethernet cables (this is called Ethernet backhaul) for better performance and stability if desired.
One Unit Acts as the Main Router:
You select one Deco unit to act as the main router (this must be connected via Ethernet to your modem or internet source).
The other two Deco units automatically become satellite nodes/extenders and can connect either wirelessly or through Ethernet.
Flexibility:
They do not need to be wired to the main Deco router unless you want to use Ethernet backhaul for faster speeds or better stability in difficult environments. Many users run them fully wirelessly."
Thank you for using Q&A.
