I bought this recently to steam creases out of 2 bridesmaid dresses and a 45 year old lace veil. The veil kept catching but maybe I used the wrong attachment. It smoothes the creases out of shirts easily. I will say though it can be a bit heavy. But all in all it did what I expected it to. Going to try it on quilt covers next . Just wish I'd bought one sooner .

Found it difficult to put the attachments on and bought this to replace my old Russell hobs but deffo not as good a purchase. It does steam well but needs filled up a lot more

Such a good piece of kit! I've had cheap versions before from other online retailers and always been disappointed, but this brand name steamer actually does the job and quickly too! Used it on suits, crepe type dresses. I wouldn't say it works brilliantly on thick jeans but could you really expect it to? Really good product for the price!

Ideal for steaming out creases
Bought this for curtains, freshening shirts from wardrobe and it works quickly and efficiently. Wish the cable was longer when trying to reach the top of curtains as I'm quite short but realise this is a legal limitation. Not used all the attachments but this I have have worked well. Mi imsl.iavlagibg - no plastic🥳.

I bought my steamer about 3months ago because I was travelling abroad and didn’t want to iron Sadly, it was no good whatsoever The water didn’t heat up and it didn’t produce any steam A waste of money really

Yes, the Steam Genie 28040 can be used without the scent infuser. The user manual for the item contains more information on how and when to use it. Some of this info is posted here.
The scent infuser attachment can be used to infuse your fabrics with your favourite scent.
The use of scents, oils, or other fragrances is at your own risk and we accept no liability. Always read any instructions, warnings or advice regarding the use of the fragrance before using it with your steamer. Always use the scent infuser in a well ventilated room.
Always remove and refit the scent infuser attachment when the steamer is cold and not producing steam.
Always have the scent infuser fitted when using the delicate fabric attachment. Remove the fabric pad if you don’t want to infuse a scent to the fabric being steamed.
Only use the scent infuser. Do not place fragrance directly onto the delicate fabric attachment, and never add fragrances to the water in the water tank.
