Emergency SOS will alert the emergency services to your location in the event of an incident. Customise your 522GW with the Rear Cam modules for all-round protection. The Nextbase 32GB U3 Go Pack is recommended to record footage (sold separately).
Use built-in Alexa to play music, place calls and get directions, whilst being able to talk directly to your dash cam. You can ask to send dash cam footage straight to your phone, protect recordings and start/stop recordings - all while you keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.
The Nextbase 522GW Dash Cam features Emergency SOS. In the event of an accident this can alert the emergency services to your location. The alert sends crucial medical data such as blood type and a medical history to paramedics to aid efficient treatment.

Good Product
Bought as part of a Front & Rear DashCam bundle for a new vehicle. Previous experience on a similar system on my wife's car has been good.

Ok camera, very poor phone app
Bought this, fitted it and it works really well. Not the best image quality, reg plates can still be difficult to read. (Id recommend a 4k camera) The phone app is not fit for purpose, it gets 1.5 out of 5 on the play store (1 is the lowest rating.) it fails to connect to the camera, unless you factory reset the camera, you uninstall and reinstall the app and delete all the previous connections it has saved. It takes an ages to transfer the videos to your phone, it's better to take the SD card out and copy them over directly on a computer. I wish I'd returned it, instead of trying to live with it.

Not a happy bunny!
The dashcam was not working correctly from the outset. It overheated, kept going out of recoding mode and the touchscreen buttons would do anything when this happened. Only way to get it recording again was to do a 'reset' using the specified button on the underside of the casing. At present trying to sort out with Nextbase as Argos policy is "not to accept returns" once the packaging is opened!

Great Dash Cam
I bought this Dash Cam to replace one that was stolen. My fault for leaving it in the car. I wouldn’t be without it. So many people cut you up in their cars. I have also noticed people keep a distance and no longer tail gate me, as I put a sticker that came with it on the rear of my car, which tells people I have a camera. They can also see it at night as it’s high resolution. I will be buying the rear camera that connects to this camera soon.

Expensive given short internal battery life.
I have bought five of these over time for family’s cars and hardwired them. They work well until they don’t. If the internal battery fails, as it will within 2-3 years, as that seems to be its life., . The device will run continuously and drain your car battery. It is a design flaw. It should instead just stop working, which would be safer. As long as you are prepared to replace device every 2+ years and consider this reasonable then good product. Never had one fail within warranty period.

The picture is good and clear but sone features don't work well with an Android phone according to Nextbase customer service. This should be rectified in an update but don't know how long it will take.

Great!
Bought this for our son’s 17th birthday. Great bit of kit. Easy to download footage to phone or pc. Love the magnetic clip.. makes it easy to take to your pc if needed. I also bought the rear camera separately which was a simply plug and go. You do need to buy the memory chip .. I only bought a 32 but think it would be better for a bigger one as it automatically locks footage if there is any sudden braking etc Very pleased with it

This is the 2nd one of these i have bought. Our old dash failed so we bought this to replace it as our other car has one and its had been faultless for several years now. Easy to use and install, gives clear images / video day and night.
