“The top is the 24cm and the external diameter of the base is 20.5cm.”

24 cm is top diameter (excluding handles). Bottom diameter is 20cm, but central disc on base that actually makes contact with hob is 17cm diameter. Great pan.

The top is 24cm. The bottom is 19cm. I can recommend it

I agree it's contradictory! But I find it so easy to handwash that I haven't put it in dishwasher - this is from someone who hates handwashing!
